The Story of Quan Yin

Quan Yin, the goddess of Mercy. Pictured through the centuries as a beautiful and serene woman, Quan Yin spends her time on earth bringing mercy to all people. Through placing this likeness of Quan Yin in areas of your house it is said she has the ability to send healing energies through the house and the environment. In fact the environment is said to be a special area of healing for Quan Yin as it is said she can cleanse any unwanted energies or vibrations from the area. Particularly if an argument has taken place in a room, Quan Yin is able to release the disrupting energies and replace them with energies of peace and harmony. A wonderful emblem to carry when travelling. Especially good for meditation and/or healing rooms.

To create a soap similar to the above image, simply pour a little uncolored opaque Renascent soap base into your dragon mold, taking care to only fill the contours of the dragon image, allow to set. Color the remaining opaque (or transparent) soap green to look like jade and pour over the set white soap. Allow to set & unmold. If you find you are getting a slip between the 2, spray lightly with alcohol or witch hazel in between pours.

If you wish to create some ‘inclusions' add a little scattering of green tea or botanicals to give the impression of specks within the jade.

If desired you can add a heavier base of white to create more definition or a lighter base to create a translucence.
